Family Mediator, Barrister

Michael is a Board Member of the Family Mediators’ Association and remains a member of the Family Law Bar Association.

Michael was called to the Bar in 1992 and has considerable experience in family, criminal and public law. Before coming to the bar he qualified as an accountant and spent over twelve years in business consultancy. This involved almost every aspect of corporate financial analysis, advice and solution implementation. He holds a postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies.

He founded and successfully ran his own computer software company for some nine years employing over 60 people.

Since being called to the Bar, Michael undertook an eight-month management and financial consultancy project in New York. Whilst he has concentrated on criminal defence work especially serious fraud and has been a member of the Government’s Serious Fraud Panel, Michael’s long legal career has covered a broad spectrum of legal cases including claims arising from inheritance disputes.

In the past, Michael has had a large practice in Children’s cases at all levels in both public and private law, acting for guardians, local authorities and parents. He also has wide experience in financial settlements arising from divorce cases.
